Rudimentary methods of selling fuel in Mbale City eastern Uganda have cost the lives of three persons.
One is critically injured, as 90% of his body is burnt and fighting for his life in Mbale Hospital.
The trio identified as Sowedi, Jamil and Buyinza have been selling highly flammable fuel in their house a common activity to many in the area.
Lukiya Bumba one of the residents has warned other residents to follow police guidelines on flammable petroleum products.
ASP Rogers Taitika the police spokesperson Elgon region has called upon residents to desist from the act.
Taitika added that they have secured all other houses in time.
Currently, there are fuel shortages countrywide forcing many to engage in the business.
