The Cattle keepers in Ntoroko district are crying foul following the drought that has ravaged the area.
The drought has caused a shortage of pasture and water for their animals leaving some lifeless.
These say cows have lost lives to the seemingly unending drought due to the shortage of pastures and water in the area.
According to the acting CAO, Mr. Ivan Busobuzi statistics over one thousand heads of cattle have lost lives since November last year up to date due to the shortage of pasture and water in the area.
Speaking to Salt television, the herdsmen say they now trek long distances in search of pasture and water for the animals.
They requested government to intervene immediately because their cattle have started dying in the way to trek for pastures and water
The Ntoroko acting chief administrative officer, Mr. Ivan Busobuzi said as the district they are trying to construct dams that will help farmers while at the same time helping cattle keepers.
