Twenty nine MPs have appended their signature that seeks to censor the minister major Jim Muhwezi as the motion enters in the second.
However the motion currently requires a third of the total signatures of the whole house.The censure motion has been partly affected after the NRM chief whip issuing a directive cautioning party member not to defy the party position of protecting its members.
Ntenjeru south MP Amos Lugoloobi says as a party they are treating the censoring process as a witch hunt intended just to injure the personality of the minister.
However Entebbe municipality Mp Michael Mbwatekamwa says as NUP members they are not taken by surprise by the chief whip statement because he’s just protecting his position.
But Baale Mp Charles Tebandeke has expressed anger by the chief whip failing to look at the substance of the matter when he first advocate for party intrest.Tebadeke adds that the leader of opposition has tendered in all the facts pining the minster for failing to address human rights violation.
Last week the leader of opposition Mathius Mpuuga tendered before the parliament a censure motion against the minister of security as a second move for the ongoing to protest to attend any plenary sitting.The move is an expression of disconted on the way government security egencies continue to violate human rights.
