Community leaders of Luweero are worried about the eruption of family devastation and increasing thefts due to the storm and and strong winds.
The situation is very worrying in Ngabo village, Katikamu sub county, Luweero district since the strong winds destroyed all the plantations and property of the residents, including cassava, maize and coffee plantations, leaving them without any food.
The community leaders have come together to find a possible solution as the citizens narrate the difficulties they encounter while finding what to eat, they say that they got loans from the banks to facilitate crop farming for sale and home consumption, clearing their children’s fees inclusive and so they request for government intervention on this matter.
Woman chancellor , kyalugondo parish, katikamu sub county, Mirika Katende Nakaye says that they are in great worry as for men who are trying to seduce married women to give them food which has caused family estrangement.
The chairperson Herbert kigozi kano says that people have lost property worthy millions of money while Ronald kakande a representative on the district level declares a strategy and requests the government to intervene.
