Kampala, Uganda - Hariss International Limited, Uganda’s leading food and beverage company, today hosted the Hon. Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development, Hon. Betty Amongi Akena, at its factory and head offices in Mpererwe -Tula.
The visit aimed to highlight Hariss International’s contribution to employment creation, gender inclusion, and youth empowerment within Uganda’s manufacturing sector. The Minister toured the company’s state-of-the-art production facilities and engaged with management on key initiatives that align with the Government’s efforts to promote decent work and industrial growth.
Speaking during the visit, the Hon. Minister applauded Hariss International for being a key driver of local employment and for its continuous commitment to upskilling Ugandan youth, ensuring equal opportunities for both men and women in the workplace.
