Mpuuga called on the new leaders to summon courage and overcome all forms of fear and complacency

The newly elected members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the opposition Democratic Front (DF) have officially been sworn in to assume their leadership roles and responsibilities.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at the party’s headquarters in Namirembe, presided over by Party President and Nyendo-Mukungwe legislator, Rt. Hon. Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba.

During the ceremony, all NEC members took a solemn oath pledging to diligently fulfill their duties, uphold the party's constitution and values, and promote Uganda’s transformation into a democratic and just society. They committed to resisting authoritarianism, corruption, and exploitation, and to leading with integrity, humility, and accountability.

           

In his remarks, President Mpuuga called on the new leaders to summon courage and overcome all forms of fear and complacency. He emphasized the importance of staying true to the party’s mission and values in their pursuit of building a better Uganda for all.

KAMPALA, UGANDA. Captain George Mike Mukula secured a significant nomination today as the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party's candidate for Vice National Chairman of the Eastern Region, setting the stage for his bid to join the powerful Central Executive Committee (CEC). 
 
The announcement, made at the NRM headquarters on Plot 10 Kyadondo Road in Kampala, was followed by an address to journalists where Mukula, a seasoned politician and former State Minister for Health, immediately took aim at his rivals within the party.
