Sironko District, Uganda – In a significant boost to education infrastructure, Budadiri West Constituency Member of Parliament and FDC Party Secretary General, Nathan Nandala Mafabi, has donated 200 iron sheets to Nampanga Primary School, a historic institution that produced prominent leaders such as former Speaker of Parliament James Wapakhabulo and State Minister for Trade James Mutende.
Experts have warned that if no action is taken, Uganda's land could become unproductive by the year 2040 due to the country's rapidly growing population.
In an effort to improve the quality of education in Mukono Municipality, the municipal council has launched an initiative to inspect and assess various schools, particularly those with dilapidated infrastructure.

The village of Nakiwate in Nakifuma Mukono District is grappling with a high dropout rate among schoolgirls, largely due to the inability to afford sanitary pads. This challenge has been exacerbated by the economic hardships faced by parents, forcing many girls to miss school or drop out entirely when they reach puberty.
