Kampala – The Minister of State for Microfinance, Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo, has issued a two-week ultimatum to address the mismanagement of funds in Lubaga Division. This comes after several leaders of Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (SACCOs) were arrested for allegedly embezzling funds meant for the "Emyooga" program, a government initiative aimed at poverty alleviation.

Members of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) parliamentary caucus convened today at the party chairman’s residence in Entebbe to discuss the proposed 2025-2026 electoral roadmap. The meeting, chaired by President Yoweri Museveni, aimed to gather input from lawmakers and ensure a smooth and inclusive electoral process.  

Members of Parliament have strongly condemned the violence and intimidation reported during the campaign for the Kawempe North by-election. During a parliamentary session today, legislators expressed outrage over the actions of security personnel and other individuals who have been accused of harassing voters and disrupting the electoral process.  

In a bid to strengthen the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and address pressing community issues, party leaders in Mukono District have launched an initiative to resolve land disputes and foster unity among members. The move comes amid growing concerns over land grabbing and internal conflicts that have threatened the party's cohesion in the region.
