The state minister for Trade and cooperatives Hon Sanjay Tanna warns the Indian community over their conduct with the people they live with
The state minister for Trade and cooperatives Hon Sanjay Tanna has warned Indian community in Uganda to watch out their conduct in communities they stay in. The minister however explored the Indians to invest more in Uganda rather than keeping their savings in banks abroad. The minister said this during his visit to the Indian community in Jinja where Indians investors expressed gratitude to president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for considering one of their own for a ministerial position.
The Minister of state for Trade and cooperatives Hon Sanjay Tanna appealed to the Indian community to adopt and understand the traditional cultures of the communities they live in, which he said Ugandan culture is rich and interesting.

Hon Sanjay commended the president for the peace prevailing in the country which has encouraged more investment hence increasing on the job creation for citizens.
He has appealed to Indian investors to invest more in Uganda which he said is more safe and welcoming for investments.
He encouraged them to invest in the virgin sector available like mining among others.
The area member of parliament for Tororo municipality Hon Shyam Tanna uploaded industrialists in Jinja for being such a dedicated team which has tremendously contributed to development.
Hon Shyam Tanna also re-enpharsized the Indian community about their behaviors towards the people they stay with appealing to them to Live in harmony with the Ugandan people.

The Indian community in Jinja appealed to the government through the state minister for trade and cooperatives Hon Sanjay Tanna, to work on the numerous challenges faced by Indian investors which includes the high taxation on their produce and the challenges in the sugar industry among others as presented by the Madhivani group of companies representative Mr Ayenga Krishna.

The chairman of the Indian Association of Uganda Piuch Kotocha reiterated their commitment to continue offering the social corporate responsibility to the communities including education sector, health and economic support.
